Description of Economic Policy Papers

Economic Policy Papers - Wirtschaftspolitische Blätter

The Economic Policy Papers are a scientific journal published on a quarterly basis. They have been published by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber since 1954.

The focus of the papers is in the field of applied economics with a special emphasis on Austria and Europe. Authors are typically from the national and international academic, political and business communities. The Economic Policy Papers include articles, reviews and empirical studies on a wide range of economic policy issues for interested readers from multiple disciplines, such as politics, business and academia.

The journal aims at providing a platform to present diverse approaches and perspectives, as well as to encourage new or unique ideas or proposals. The opinions expressed by the authors do not necessarily represent those of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. The contributions serve as a basis for an objective discussion of economic policy issues.

The length of an article should not exceed 25,000 characters.

Articles published in the Economic Policy Papers are cited in the literature documentation of the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL).

Authors interested in contributing to the Economic Policy Papers are invited to send their articles to the editorial office (
