The Economic Policy Papers are a scientific journal published quarterly. Their focus lies in the field of applied economics with a special emphasis on topics at the interface between economics and politics, particularly regarding policy development, implementation, effects and evaluation. Authors are typically from national and international academic, political and business communities.
The Economic Policy Papers have been published since 1954 by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. They include articles, reviews and empirical studies concerning a wide range of economic policy issues for audiences from multiple disciplines.
The journal aims at providing a platform to present diverse approaches and perspectives, as well as to encourage new or unique ideas or practices. The opinions expressed by the authors do not necessarily represent those of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. The contributions are to serve as a basis for an objective discussion of economic policy considerations regarding a particular topic and thereby aim to cover the entire spectrum of potential views. Each quarterly issue contains both articles directly related to the principal topic of that issue, as well as others relating to relevant issues beyond.
Abstracts of all articles published in the Economic Policy Papers are included in the literature documentation of the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL).
Authors interested in contributing to the Economic Policy Papers are invited to send their papers to the editorial office at any time.
