Meet international experts in Vienna on 9./10. June 2011

The Austrian Federal Economic Chamber is very pleased to invite national and international experts and proponents from the education system and economic policy to the 1st International Entrepreneur’s Skills Conference on the 9th and 10th of June 2011.

The Entrepreneur’s Skills Certificate® offers additional economic qualification for students as well as a solid foundation for self-employment and thus provides valued advantage on the job market. This example of European best practice for entrepreneurship education is based on an initiative by Christoph Leitl, president of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber dating back to 2004. Some European as well as non-European countries have started implementing the Entrepreneur’s Skills Certificate into their education system.    

Christoph Leitl, president of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber is very glad about the positive international responses to this Austrian showcase project. He says that it is absolutely essential to provide the young generation with substantial amounts of economic competencies.  In this way economic competencies as well as social competencies will be fostered at an early stage.

On day one there will be 2 high-level panels on questions of educational and local policy. Day two will offer workshops concerning the transfer of good practice examples of entrepreneurship education and projects into national education systems.
