Examination information

Detailed information and mock examinations

Stand:

The examinations for modules A-C of the Entrepreneur’s Skills Certificate® are computer-based and taken online after the one-time registration of the school as a test centre. Each school can contact the examination Organisation IT4Education (office@it4education.at) by email with a request for a specific examination date. The school will be automatically notified as soon as an external examiner has accepted the date. The school or the teacher running the course is responsible for the “on site” organisation. The examiner supervises the examination and downloads the precise number of examinations from the Internet. Further details at IT4Education.

Online examinations of modules A – C in schools:
Each candidate is given individually compiled examination questions as each examination is compiled individually by the random generator from a pool of questions specified by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber. Each examination can be repeated as often as desired, but the examination fee must be paid each time. Each candidate is given the assessed result immediately after the examination and therefore knows whether the examination has been passed or not. The examination is deemed to have been passed if 75% of the questions have been correctly answered.

Examination of module UP:
Module UP is concluded, in line with national legislation, with a board examination for entrepreneurs (Austria) or with a written examination.

The examinations can be assessed as having been passed "with distinction", "with merit", with a "pass" or as a “fail”. The original certificates are issued by the national licensed partner of the Entrepreneur’s Skills Certificate® and presented at a ceremony in the school.

Mock examinations
Before registration for the online examination, candidates can check the level of their knowledge in a mock examination. The results of the mock examination can be used as a basis on which to decide whether to register for the examination or undertake a further study cycle.
