Curious about a sustainable future for fashion and technology?
With a focus on art and science, the bachelor's and master's programmes in Fashion & Technology view technology as a catalyst for innovative and sustainable design solutions and alternative aesthetic concepts in keeping with the idea of tolerance. Students Belinda Winkler, Miriam Eichinger and Sophia Höretzeder scrutinise traditional technologies, use experimental materials and integrate wearables. So what does that look like?
Fashion & Technology contemplates the question of how traditional systems in fashion can be rethought in terms of design strategies and production methods.
Experimental, innovative materials; resource-saving, regional manufacturing methods; respect for diversity; and humane working conditions are central components.
Fashion & Technology is a bachelor's and master's programme for forward-looking, sustainable and inclusive fashion design at the University of Art and Design Linz that combines design and research.
