powerfluxx buoys

About the Project

Powerfluxx buoys are nearly invisible as they swim through major rivers, producing up to 300 MWh of electricity per year, 24/7. They can be used to provide power for outlying communities and industries or to supply the power grid. The buoys are ready to go in just a few hours, without any construction needed on site. They're low maintenance, pose no problems for fish or vessels, and have been tested in flood conditions. Energy harvesting for all of the world's rivers. 

Opportunities for the world to do a better and more sustainable job of overcoming its current and future challenges. Our product is intended to serve as a sustainable method of generating energy that has no negative impact on the environment and that can be used even in the most remote areas that are lacking infrastructure (for example, in developing countries).

About us

Aqualibre Energenentwicklung was established in 2005 to develop the first sustainable way to harness the flow energy of rivers without the need for dams. In its roughly 15 year history, it has developed, tested and optimised multiple prototypes. The current product has reached a level of efficiency that makes it positively economically feasible to operate.
