About the Project

SPIDER is a unique, custom-programmable, self-driving and mobile test platform for reproducible testing of sensors, obstacle detection systems, vehicle software and control algorithms.

SPIDER enables automated testing and extensive system evaluation for future automated vehicles, helping to considerably speed up the time it takes to develop innovative solutions.

As a research centre, VIRTUAL VEHICLE works on opportunities for a better future every day. Continuous research and development work at the interface between humans and technology lays the groundwork and creates solutions for the challenges of tomorrow. The SPIDER project represents the continuous improvement process and lets you see and experience it.
