Classification Procedure

Fundamentally, the star classification is free of charge. For 3*Superior, 4*Superior, 5* and 5*Superior costs incur for a possible mystery guest visit and an administration fee - irrespective of the actual outlay - are borne by the Austrian Hotel Classification.

For 3*Superior and 4*Superior the fee is 200.00 Euro which goes to the respective Professional Group and 499.00 Euro to the Professional Group of Tyrol, for 5* and 5*Superior this amounts 1,140.00 Euro, which goes to the Austrian Professional Hotel Association. The Austrian Professional Hotel Association and the Professional Groups are a public corporation and not an entrepreneur within the meaning of the VAT Act. This bill does not authorize for deduction of input tax.
