Hugo Furtado is working on hands-free audio navigation. The CEO of Dreamwaves and BOLD innovator talks about how 3d audio works, how he got the idea for his product and why he quit his job in IT to change the world.
Dreamwaves is the world's first spatial audio navigation app. The application determines the current outdoor position and calculates the path to a desired destination. Virtual audio sources are automatically placed along the way. The user navigates intuitively by listening for sounds that steer them in the direction they need to go. This way, users are not distracted by constantly looking at their displays.
