The stickers are available in every workshop authorised to issue safety check stickers in accordance with Section 57a of the Motor Vehicles Act, as well as at the authorised testing facilities of Austria’s two leading breakdown insurers, ARBÖ and ÖAMTC. The process is simpler for HGVs over 3.5 tonnes – for these vehicles it is possible to get the sticker from a workshop without actually presenting the vehicle.

Die Plakette kann in Österreich bei jeder § 57a KFG-Werkstätte, die zur Ausgabe der Begutachtungsplakette befugt ist, sowie den Landesprüfstellen von ARBÖ und ÖAMTC bezogen werden. Für LKW über 3,5 Tonnen gibt es eine Erleichterung: für diese kann die Plakette von den Werkstätten zur eigenverantwortlichen Anbringung ausgefolgt werden; die LKW müssen nicht bei der Werkstätte vorfahren.
